A guitar, a bottle, and perhaps a pear on a wooden table. These three objects are depicted here as flat figures in solid color: brown for the musical instrument, green for the bottle—which, positioned in the center, gives the work its title—and yellow for the pear. Behind them is an old double door with colonial-style ironwork. This still life, with a use of color similar to that of his teacher Esteban Lisa, reflects the influence of Emilio Pettoruti, who was his teacher between 1943 and 1952. From that year onward, he became an assistant in the studio, which he managed during Pettoruti's absences, until 1959, when he opened his own.

Alejandro Vainstein (1917-2003), according to art history, is a Ukrainian artist who became an Argentine citizen, although his father was from Odessa, and he was born in Argentina. His work encompassed both figurative art and a period close to Cubism, incorporating techniques that combined drawing, painting, collage, and assemblage on a single support. He initially trained in Argentina with Esteban Lisa between 1934 and 1943, and later with Emilio Pettoruti. In 1959, he founded his own art school. He exhibited at the Antú Gallery in 1951 and at the Van Riel Gallery on several occasions between 1959 and 1974. In 1961, he held a retrospective exhibition at the Buenos Aires City Council. Of Jewish descent, he exhibited at the AMIA (Argentine Israelite Mutual Association), the Hebrew Society of Rosario, and in Israel and Tel Aviv, a trip made possible with AMIA's support.
