ABOUT HILARIO

OUR HISTORY

In February 1993 we launched our work at the National Handicraft Festival, held in the city of Col?n, Entre Ríos, Argentina. Since then, the spirit of the initial project has guided us in each undertaking, always focused on placing the popular arts of America in a position of hierarchy and always committed to promoting the collection of arts, literature and crafts.

During these years we edited books, magazines, catalogues and brochures; we organized and curated exhibitions, auctions, round tables and conferences; we conducted seminars; we participated in national and international shows and opened a collector-friendly space in the city of Buenos Aires. The setting, an art and antiques gallery, allows us to collect, study and value objects as varied as first editions of old, rare and curious books; maps; photographs; paintings, drawings and sculptures; all manifestations of popular art and any artifact that captures us for what it suggests, for the stories it tells, for the soul it possesses. We carry out our sales directly and through auctions, which, being in person, we have called "Hilario Experience", because we understand that it is a special experience within the art and antiques market in South America. And since the pandemic that affected the entire world, we designed an online auction system through our own website. We carry them out on a monthly basis and gather in its catalog a selection of works that includes Art, Graphic Works, Cartography, Manuscripts, Objects with History, Creole Arts, Traditional Textiles and Vintage Photographs. Also with a monthly frequency - from March to January - in February 2021 we started an electronic communication (Newsletter) enriched by the collaboration of qualified specialists from Argentina and abroad who reward us with exclusive articles related to history, arts, literature and crafts. The development of this digital magazine has allowed us to establish ourselves before a universe of readers that grows with each issue. If you enjoy it, leave us your details so we can send you the next issues.Don Hilario
