Ladies and Gentlemen on the front lines of Córdoba. The City Series - No. 1. Córdoba. December 1996.

Quarto (23.4 x 17 cm), 4 sheets, includes the Title page with the references behind indicating the location of each image, the text in a trilingual version: Spanish, English and German, and the colophon; plus 20 original color photos, mounted on as many sheets. The set is preserved in the publisher's folder, in paperback. Edited by Barbieri, it is No. 1 in the La Ciudad series, with a print run of one hundred signed copies. This series also included two other booklets: "The tile in the city of Córdoba" and "Stained glass windows of the city of Córdoba". All three had successful sales, going out of print shortly after release.

Very interesting visual tour of the facades of the city of Córdoba, documenting the human figures located there, "ladies and gentlemen" born in the Art Nouveau, Art Decó styles or within the classicism and eclecticism that guided the architects and builders. «Those who know told me that -Barbieri confesses-, on Tuesday nights, the figureheads visit each other and talk. The bearded old men walk slowly and arrive at the house of the man who, during the day, is with his mouth open as if crying "don't demolish me", but who receives them with a broad smile.»

Sergio Barbieri, professor of Fine Arts, art researcher, photographer, worked as a researcher for the National Academy of Fine Arts to carry out the inventory of the National Artistic Heritage in several provinces. He has a long history in museological activities in the country and abroad. He has curated exhibitions, consultancies, courses and conferences on his specialty. He has more than twenty-seven national and international publications, several of them dedicated to popular religious art, devotions and votive offerings.
