Dawn on the pampas. The golden light emerges behind the trees and the old house with its peeling walls and some visible crack, whose front -hidden in the perspective of the work- looks towards a dirt road. In the background, a wide gallery and the curb of the cistern. The stillness at this time of day allows us to enjoy this old construction that treasures in its memory so many stories, so many anecdotes...

In the last decades of the 20th century, this issue of corners, warehouses, grocery stores and old houses that have survived the passage of time in the towns of our country was installed in contemporary Argentine figurative painting. We present here a work created on this theme by the plastic artist Antonio Giardinieri (1949).
