SILVERSMITH´S

WITH TRACES OF USE

Mate. Argentina. First half of the 20th century.

The container, smooth, with its Equator of greater diameter and raised mouth, rests on three legs joined by a ring, which conclude with a phytomorphic-inspired chiseling. It is accompanied by a light bulb. Measures. Mat text-align: justify;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;">The repertoire of designs in mate is very wide, although there are patterns that have been respected over time. In this example, the simplicity of the smooth surface of the bowl dialogues with the detail of the leaves and flowers that decorate the cast and chiselled legs. For some reason, these have been arched in the final section with more emphasis than usual, perhaps seeking greater stability in daily use.
